JOB TITLE: Travel Nurse Assessor
SALARY: £22K-£25k plus company benefits (see below)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an efficient and professional medical assessment as a Registered Nurse, acting within the NMC code of professional conduct.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To adhere to Company protocols and policies.
- To adhere to FSA rules and regulations.
- To maintain NMC registration.
- To maintain personal professional indemnity.
- To identify your own training needs.
- To undertake medical assessments in accordance with protocols and procedures.
- To be technically proficient and knowledgeable regarding travel and its effect on pre-existing medical conditions.
- To understand the principles and practices of travel insurance.
- To motivate and encourage other team members.
- To assist with training.
- Maintain and promote good relations with those using the services provided by MediQuote Ltd.
- To undertake any reasonable task authorised by senior staff
- Current registration with NMC
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Evidence of recent practice
- Broad medical and surgical knowledge base
- Travel related practice
- Aviation or repatriation experience an advantage although not essential
- Confident on telephone & able to control conversation
- Enjoys dealing with public
- Attention to detail
- Work within guidelines whilst maintaining autonomy
- Team player but able to work independently
- Computer Literate
- Reliable, adaptable & flexible
- Consistency
- Enjoys a challenge
- Keen to increase knowledge/academic qualifications
