JOB TITLE: Travel Nurse Assessor

SALARY: £22K-£25k plus company benefits (see below)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an efficient and professional medical assessment as a Registered Nurse, acting within the NMC code of professional conduct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To adhere to Company protocols and policies.
• To adhere to FSA rules and regulations.
• To maintain NMC registration.
• To maintain personal professional indemnity.
• To identify your own training needs.
• To undertake medical assessments in accordance with protocols and procedures.
• To be technically proficient and knowledgeable regarding travel and its effect on pre-existing medical conditions.
• To understand the principles and practices of travel insurance.
• To motivate and encourage other team members.
• To assist with training.
• Maintain and promote good relations with those using the services provided by MediQuote Ltd.
• To undertake any reasonable task authorised by senior staff

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE:

• Current registration with NMC
• Minimum 2 years experience
• Evidence of recent practice
• Broad medical and surgical knowledge base
• Travel related practice
• Aviation or repatriation experience an advantage although not essential
• Confident on telephone & able to control conversation
• Enjoys dealing with public
• Attention to detail
• Work within guidelines whilst maintaining autonomy
• Team player but able to work independently
• Computer Literate
• Reliable, adaptable & flexible
• Consistency
• Enjoys a challenge
• Keen to increase knowledge/academic qualifications
